Job Description
Cloverbelt Country Meats is seeking a skilled and experienced Butcher to join our
growing team. We take pride in providing high-quality meat products to our customers
and are looking for someone who shares our passion for craftsmanship, cleanliness,
and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat for retail sale
Ensure all meat products are displayed and stored according to food safety and
quality standards
Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering
recommendations, and handling special orders
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with
health regulations
Operate and maintain meat processing equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock rotation and ordering supplies
Weighing and packaging meat products
Ensuring proper labelling and storage of products
Ordering and receiving meat supplies
Requirements
1+ year of experience as a butcher or in similar role (eg. Farm worker, carpenter,
trades worker, etc.)
Strong knowledge of meat cuts, preparation methods, and food safety protocols
Ability to safely handle knives, saws, grinders and similar tools. Good with tool
handling and maintenance
Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
Physical stamina, can be able to lift lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for
long
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Food Safety Certification is an asset
